4 Puppies Found In A Box Next To A Busy Highway Get The Owners They Deserve
The coolness of some people is sometimes mind-boggling.
We call ourselves "humans," but the way animals are sometimes treated is anything but humane.
They deserve so much better.
These four puppies were found in a box in Ukraine, between a large field and a dangerously busy highway.
Fortunately, the puppies did not try to cross the highway.
Instead, they went to a nearby field where they could search among the trash for some food to fill their bellies for a while.
A call for help
Passersby saw the puppies and knew they needed help.
They contacted Love Furry Friends, a local rescue organization.
Olena Pyanov, a volunteer, rushed to the site. When she arrived, her heart sank at the sight she saw.
She saw those poor puppies crawling through the garbage, looking for food.
They were starving and would not have survived long.
A race against the clock
Without hesitation, Olena and her team sprang into action.
They carefully picked up the fragile puppies and rushed them to the nearest veterinary clinic.
One of the puppies was so weak he could barely stand.
At the clinic, the veterinarian examined the puppies. Even though they looked so weak, there was hope.
"I thought they were in bad shape," Olena said. "But fortunately, they were healthier than we thought."
It didn't take long for these adorable pups to regain their carefree, happy selves.
After a long day scurrying around the streets, they took their first bath, had fun with their new toys and were entertained by Olena's bedtime stories.
Road to recovery
In the weeks that followed, the puppies received 24-hour care and love.
By the day, they became stronger and more playful.
They were little fighters.
It didn't take long for their tails to wag with pleasure.
Finding a home forever
The puppies grew and the love around them grew with them.
Soon they were ready to find their own owners.
One by one, they were adopted by loving families who promised to cherish them forever.
