The 80-year-old Eugene Bostick retired 15 years ago, but many people feel that only then did his "real work" begin.

He decided to create a special train for his rescued stray dogs, taking them on fun rides.

This heartwarming story got a lot of attention when his neighbor Tiffany Johnson shared a photo of the dog train on Facebook.

Rescuing dogs

Eugene lived on a quiet street with his brother. They had a horse barn and a big heart.

People often drove by and left dogs there, abandoned to their fate. Eugene and his brother could not ignore these poor, starving dogs.

So they fed the dogs, took them to the vet and gave them a place they could call a home.

The idea of the dog train

Over the years, he rescued many stray dogs. Although these dogs were content to run around his farm and enjoy the fresh air, Eugene got the idea to build a dog train. But how did he come up with that idea?

Bostick told: One day I was outside and saw a man with a tractor hitching carts together to pull rocks. I thought, 'Hell, that would be perfect for a dog train.'

I'm a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes in them, put wheels on them and attached them together.

All aboard the dog train!

Eugene's idea became a reality and he built a special train for his four-legged friends.

The train was made of plastic barrels with wheels all attached to each other.

Now Eugene takes his dogs on a train ride once or twice a week.

He starts the tractor and the dogs cannot contain their excitement. They rush to get on board, eager for adventure.

The dog train has become famous around town and people often ask if they can take pictures of it.

Eugene's dedication

The 80-year-old Eugene knows he can't do this forever.

But he says:

"I'm getting older. I'm 80 now, so I don't think it can last long, but I'll hold out as long as I can. The dogs are having a great time. They just really enjoy it."

A beautiful friendship

What a beautiful story. I wish Eugene and his dogs all the best for their shared adventures.
