94-year-old Grandpa Shares A Sweet Habit With His Neighbors' Dogs
Years ago, it was common for neighbors to get together and have a close relationship.
They invited each other over for a barbecue or to play cards. At the very least, they knew their neighbors by name and said hello to each other.
Nowadays it is not so common to make friends with neighbors and often we don't even know our neighbors.
There are still neighborhoods where you not only know your neighbors, but become friends with them.
The story of Charlie and Doug
In a neighborhood in South Carolina lived a happy family with two adorable dogs named Charlie and Doug.
These loyal quadrupeds were not only loved by their families; they befriended everyone in the neighborhood and spread joy with wagging tails and playful antics.
One day Kimberly was looking out her window at her backyard. Suddenly she saw her 94-year-old neighbor, Mr. Bill, slowly approaching their fence with something in his hand.
He stood there waiting and looked out into the garden. Kimberly was so curious about what was happening that she grabbed her phone to take pictures, and we are so glad she did!

In the video, Mr. Bill walked up to the fence with cookies in his hand for his new friends. He waited patiently for the dogs to notice him.
This had clearly become a routine, as the dogs ran excitedly toward him as soon as they saw him.
Charlie was quick to get there and even tried to grab more before Doug arrived. Mr. Bill, a good friend, made sure both dogs got their cookies.
The video went viral and even Mr. Bill's granddaughter saw it. She thanked Kimberly for sharing this heartwarming routine.
"We are so lucky and blessed to have moved right next door to him," Kimberly said.
And so the story of Charlie, Doug and Mr. Bill showed how good it can be when neighbors become friends.
Indeed, the world could use more kindness like Mr. Bill's, where simple acts like sharing treats create a bond that warms the hearts of all involved.
