Abandoned Puppy Bursts Into Tears As He Realizes He Is Being Rescued
This is the story of Fedor, a little puppy who, like so many other dogs, was left as worthless junk.
Fedor was only a few days old when he was found on the side of the road and he could not stop crying when he realized that "there was light at the end of the tunnel."
The story of Ferdo
In Russia, a little puppy named Ferdo was in terrible condition.
Covered in dirt and left in a cardboard box, he faced a world of loneliness and pain.
A motorist, Alina, saw something move, stopped the car and found the crying puppy just a few feet away from a cardboard box that was far from serving as shelter and comfort.
The fragile puppy was scared and anxious and did not understand what was happening.
He was taken away from the comfort and safety of his mother's nest and left to die of hunger, thirst and cold.
Fortunately, he was found by someone with a heart, who could not ignore the situation and move on as if nothing had happened.
Crying in pain and perhaps in joy, hope began to come into Fedor's life.
"His eyes were filled with pain and sadness," Alina said.
The help
Alina cuddled the puppy on the passenger seat and quickly took him to a veterinarian.
Fedor's general condition was terrible: he was dirty, hungry and terrified.
It is likely that Fedor was attacked by other stray dogs. He had wounds and leptospirosis, a bacterial infection.
Leptospirosis is life-threatening if not treated immediately.
Fortunately, it is curable, but given his age, the risk of death from this infection is still high.
The veterinarian also determined that the dog was malnourished - it still needed breastfeeding.
In addition, Fedor was infested with fleas and ticks, with numerous bites and irritations all over his skin.
Fedor had to stay in the clinic. The young woman who had saved him visited him every day.
She usually brought him tasty meals and talked to him because he was usually alone in his kennel while he was recovering.
A happy ending
After two months of love, care and treatments, Ferdo was back on his feet.
Finally he was discharged from the hospital and found a new home: the rescuer took him home and laid him comfortably in a bed.
The first day in his new environment, Fedor slept almost the entire period.
Little by little, he began to walk around the house, trying to understand what was happening.
With its small size and cute face, the puppy stole everyone's hearts.
Fedor is doing well now.
He has a home and everything he needs to be healthy and happy and a loving mother who would never abandon him.
