Fearful stray dog lives in small alley until found by rescuer 1

A stray dog lived in an alley between two buildings. He was all alone, hiding from the world and very scared.

He made eye contact with a woman - who made a decision that changed the dog's entire life.

Thanks to this amazing rescuer, he is finally safe.

Concealed and scared

One day, a group of kind people from Stray Rescue of St. Louis found the stray dog.

They saw that he was hiding in an alley and looked very scared.

One of the rescuers, a woman noticed that the dog was starting to get very scared, so she stood back and tried to help him relax by talking to him.

The dog was still scared, but the woman did not give up.

She knew it would take time to gain his trust.

The rescuer noticed that the dog had a bowl of food and water next to it.

This meant that someone was taking care of him, but he was still scared and alone.

To show the dog that she meant no harm, the woman offered him some food.

At first the dog hesitated, but then he took it and ate it hungrily.

Building trust

Slowly but surely, the dog began to trust the woman.

He realized she was there to help him.

With each sweet act, the dog felt more comfortable being around her.

A few moments later, the dog got up from his spot and approached his rescuer.

It was a very rainy day, which meant he must also be cold in this weather, so she knew she had to get him out of there quickly.

She carefully picked up the dog and brought it to her car.

They drove to the shelter in St. Louis, where the dog would be safe and warm and he could get proper help.

A happy ending

At the shelter, the dog received the care he needed. He was checked by the veterinarian and given a warm bed to sleep in.

While we don't know exactly what happened next, we do suspect that the dog found a loving family to care for him.
