Brave Cops Rescue Puppy From Pipe And Return Him To His Mother
We often hear stories about animals getting into tricky situations, especially when they are trapped underground.
These stories are usually full of drama, but the good news is that most end happily.

The scary adventure of Piper
Piper accidentally fell into a deep tube in his family's basement.
It was a scary and dark place and he was all alone.
Piper's mother was very sad and worried about her little puppy.
A call for help
Fortunately, someone saw what was happening and called the Michigan Humane Society (MHS).
The MHS team, led by Chris Dewerker, knew they had to act quickly to save Piper.
"It was only a matter of time before it ended tragically," said the person who called for help.
A brave rescue mission
The MHS team arrived at the house and saw Piper's mother, she was crying and sad.
They also saw two small holes in the house, where they could hear Piper's cries.
The rescue team knew that rescuing Piper would not be easy.
He was stuck about 6 meters underground. They had to dig a hole to get to him.
To find Piper, rescuers placed a camera in the pipe. They saw him deep inside and realized they needed an excavator to help with the rescue.
The MHS team needed additional help, so they called the experts at Aaron Excavating Inc.
A lot of people with equipment came to the rescue, all with one goal: to save Piper.
As they dug deeper, they heard Piper's cries. The excavator stopped working.
But a brave man from Aaron Excavating didn't wait. He jumped in the hole and went to work freeing Piper.
The beautiful reunion
Finally, after a long and emotional night, Piper was rescued from the dark pipe.
Everyone was relieved, especially the homeowner who had heard the puppy's cries all day and night.
"It was really an emotional situation all night and day, but we're so glad there was a happy ending," the homeowner said.
Piper and his mother together again
The most touching moment came when Piper was reunited with his mother.
They had been through so much and now they were safe and together.
The Michigan Humane Society made sure they got the care they needed.
A happy ending
Piper's story is a great example of how brave people with big hearts come together to save a little puppy in need.
