Cat Hugs Terrified Dog When Owner Is Away
Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe and can happen to all of us from time to time. Unfortunately, dogs are no exception.
A dog named Joule knows best how uncomfortable it can be.
Joule's life changed when she was rescued by Brenna.
She was a sweet dog, but her anxiety was a big problem.
According to Brenna, Joule suffered so much anxiety when she was adopted that she had to work one-on-one with a dog behaviorist to resolve some of her serious issues.
Brenna had to work every day, leaving Joule alone, which made her even more anxious.
Brenna knew she had to find a solution. She installed security cameras in her home to see what Joule was doing while she was at work.
"I wanted to see how long it would take for her to calm down," Brenna said.
A surprising discovery
When Brenna looked at the video footage, she couldn't believe her eyes. She saw Joule on the couch with her little cat Kelvin. They were cuddling together all day. This amazed Brenna. She knew that Joule and Kelvin were not very close when she was around.
"Joule was named Sandals in the asylum and Kelvin was named Socks, so I always joked about what a perfect couple they would be," Brenna said, laughing.
A heartwarming video
Brenna decided to share a short video of Joule and Kelvin on the Internet. The video showed the love between a sweet dog and a warm cat. People from all over the world were touched by this special friendship.
Every day I point the camera at the couch when I leave for work, so I can capture their snuggles.

The video became very popular, being viewed more than a hundred thousand times.
Joule and Kelvin began gaining more followers on their Instagram account, @ginger_cat_and_vizslas, where they continued to share their heartwarming moments.
Joule and Kelvin are the main characters of this story, but there are two other members of their happy family.
Tesla, an American village dog, also liked to cuddle with his friends from time to time.
And then there is Nerien, a black cat who enjoyed her own company, yet shared her love with others.
Joule and Kelvin's friendship warmed the hearts of people around the world.
They proved that even unlikely friends can make a large, happy family.
It is a story of love and comfort from which we can all learn something.
