Couple Adopts Dog From Shelter And Discovers He Is Their Dog's Long-lost Brother
Alyssa and Zachary are a couple with a big heart for dogs.
What they did not know was that an adoption would set in motion a series of events and produce a heartwarming story.
A Facebook post
As Alyssa and Zachary scrolled through Facebook, they stumbled upon a post from Trenton Animals Rock.
It featured dogs looking for a loving home.
Among them was Max, a Chow Chow/Shar Pei mix who looked remarkably like their own dog, Arthur.
Alyssa and Zachary were so fascinated by Max's resemblance to Arthur that they decided to drive five hours to the shelter in Trenton, New Jersey, to adopt him.
They named him Wes, and when Wes entered his new home, something special happened.
Special friendship between Wes and Arthur
At first, they were a little reluctant.
But before anyone knew it, Wes and Arthur were inseparable.
They did everything together: sleeping, walking and playing.
The couple often called them "the same dog in a different font" because of their striking resemblance and similar habits.
Although Wes and Arthur had different personalities, they complemented each other perfectly.
The unimaginable discovery
Curiosity led Alyssa and Zachary to get DNA test kits for both Wes and Arthur.
They wanted to find out Wes' race and check Arthur's health.
Little did they know that the results would reveal an unlikely coincidence.
The test showed that Wes and Arthur were not only alike; they were lost brothers!
Alyssa and Zachary were surprised and filled with joy at this surprising discovery.
Grateful for the rescue
The joy of knowing they had given Wes the life he deserved was enormous for Alyssa and Zack.
But it was even more heartwarming to witness the deep bond formed between Wes and Arthur, two brothers brought together by chance.
They thanked Trenton Animals Rock for introducing Wes and Embark Vet for helping discover this incredible coincidence!
Alyssa and Zack were grateful that Wes and Arthur could now live a peaceful life as best friends and brothers.
By adopting Wes, Alyssa and Zack not only gave him a loving home, but also reunited him with his long-lost brother Arthur.
