Dog Chained To House Cannot Hide His Joy When He Sees His Rescuer
When a man in Detroit came home, he noticed something unusual in the house next door. There was movement in the abandoned house, and as he approached, he discovered a dog.
When he went to take a look, he saw a sweet dog that was unfortunately chained to the house.
The man immediately decided he had to help the dog. He didn't wait a moment and called Rebel Dogs Detroit, an organization known for helping dogs in need.
They quickly responded to his call and sent volunteer Tiffany Perkins to check on the situation.
As soon as Tiffany saw the little puppy, her heart melted.
"Beaker was timid and hiding behind the garage. He peered out when I started calling to him. As I got closer, his tail started wagging. Then he pressed himself against us as we petted him - and he seemed visibly relieved. He 'squealed' like a muppet, so excited was he, so he was named Beaker!" said Tiffany.
Beaker had been chained to the house for a long time. This made him a little shy when Tiffany first approached. But it didn't take long for Beaker to understand that Tiffany was there to help him.
Tiffany quickly untied Beaker from the house and you can't imagine how happy he was to finally be free.
"When the chain was released from the garage, he dropped to the floor for belly massages and kisses and playful chaos," Tifanny said.
A visit to the veterinarian
Tiffany, however, noticed something disturbing. The chain had left a scar on Beaker's neck. She decided to take him to the vet immediately to make sure he was all right.
While they waited at the vet for surgery, Tiffany and Beaker spent a lot of time together. They formed a special bond and Beaker received all the love and attention he had not received for a long time.
Tiffany said, "We had a lot of time together in the car, waiting for his surgery, for over 5 hours. After a while, he was napping with his head in my lap."
A new beginning
Beaker had been through a lot, but that didn't stop him from being a happy and loving dog. After successful surgery, Beaker was taken to a foster home to recover.
In his foster home, Beaker found a family who cared for him and showered him with love. He learned how to be an indoor dog and received unconditional love like he had never experienced before.
Looking for a golden basket
Now Beaker is completely healed and is looking for a golden basket. He would like to find a home with another energetic dog. Beaker is ready for long walks and playmates full of fun. He knows there are many kind people who can give him the love and care he deserves.
