Grandma Celebrates Her 89th Birthday With Ten Dogs
No, this is not one of those heartbreaking stories. I know that many elderly are left alone and in desperate need of companionship, especially on important days like birthdays.
But Mary is not a lonely grandmother left to her own devices. She is a blessed lady surrounded by a loving family.
And, she also has a lot of friends!
But here's the special thing... Maria's best friends move on four legs. No, that doesn't mean they need wheels because of their age.
Maria's best companions are dogs.... ten of them!
As her 89th birthday rapidly approached, her daughter came up with the most brilliant party idea ever.
Find out how Maria celebrated her 89th birthday, and try to convince us that you wouldn't want the same kind of birthday party!
Time for a party
In Mary's house, family is at the heart of the matter. They are all closely connected and wouldn't want to change that. Isn't that what it's all about in the end?
This sweet old lady lives with her daughter and her family, but their home is not at all overcrowded. It is full of loving creatures and is blessed with 10 furry family members.
Maria loves dogs and has dedicated her life to improving their lives. Her ten four-legged friends live like kings and treat Maria as their queen.
"She loves living with animals. She loves to cuddle with them," said Maria's daughter
It is rare these days to see someone live to 89. People go young and to live to the age of 90 is incredible. The whole family agreed that they should throw a special party for Grandma Maria.
But what kind of party? Cake, dancing, fun games and a lot of people are a little old-fashioned, don't you think? Maria needed something extra to make her 89th birthday memorable.
They had something special for her:
A party with all her 10 puppies there!
"The dogs loved participating in Grandma's party!" said Victoria. "Here they are treated as part of the family. They participate in everything."
There were treats for everyone, including the dogs, and of course cake!
All the dogs sat around the table, waiting for their share of the cake. They honored Mary with their presence and gave her the most beautiful gift: their unconditional love!
Mary's heart was full of joy. She could not have wished for a better birthday celebration! A few months ago, on July 23, was Maria's 90th birthday. She is alive, healthy and enjoying her life with her 10 four-legged friends. We can't wait to see what kind of celebration the family has planned for her next year! I think there will be more dogs.... maybe then with party hats on!
