Man Is Shocked When He Finds A Box By The Side Of The Road
The most heartbreaking of all the rescue stories I've read are the ones where little puppies are alone and freezing to death with no one to help them.
It really doesn't take much effort to help these poor darlings. A simple phone call to the aid workers.
This story is about a man who saw a small box by a road and realized it contained puppies.
Heartwarming rescue
One cold day, the rescue organization Love Furry Friends received a call from a man who said he had found a box with two little puppies inside.
Olena, with a heart full of compassion, quickly came to the rescue.
"I can't take care of these little ones," the man who found the puppies told me. "They are too young and need constant care. My busy schedule won't allow it."
After standing with them for an hour, rescuers came and saw the sweet puppies.
They were starving and desperately needed help.
Olena immediately opened a can of puppy food because she knew their little bellies had been empty for far too long.
The little darlings gulped all over! They obviously hadn't eaten in a while.
A visit to the veterinarian
Now that their hunger was satisfied, Olena took the puppies to the vet.
The vet discovered that these puppies were only 3 weeks old!
They need warm milk every 2-3 hours, the vet advised.
It was a challenging task.
Gerda and Totoshka
The puppies, now lovingly cared for by Olena, were named Gerda and Totoshka.
They were given a warm bed and regular food, just as the veterinarian had recommended.
Barely a week later, they were already making tremendous progress. They were no longer so afraid and began to come out much more.
They like to play with each other and explore their surroundings. The rescuers made sure to give them some fun toys to play with.
One of the staff members introduced them to the other shelter dogs and the duo fit in very well with them, even though they were still very small.
They grew up quickly and it was amazing to see how much they had progressed in such a short time.
While we do not have much information on the status of these puppies, I think it is safe to assume that they have now grown up and found a fine family.
A story like this should always remind us how important it is to never ignore a puppy or dog in distress.
A simple phone call to the right person can change their life.
