We all know the big dogs and have probably seen some of them, but rarely do you see a wolf acting like a dog.

Such is the case with Canadian wolf Akela and his owner Andrey, a pair of inseparable buddies who act as if this is normal.

I personally would be a little afraid of such a large animal, but it is clear that Akela is just a big puppy at heart.

The playful duo

In the video posted by Andrey on his Youtube channel, we can see how cute Akela's behavior is.

First he poses for the camera with Andrey, then he starts doing a little playful with him, pressing his face against Andrey and nibbling on the hood of his sweater.

He even goes so far as to climb on top of Andrey and rest on him, still trying to get at his hood and ears.

Most of us would almost have a heart attack from that, but Akela's owner knows he is just being playful and would not intentionally hurt him.

The playful nature of Akela

For some, the biting would be seen as scary, as would the almost aggressive-looking behavior Akela displays, but that only seems so because of his size.

Many other dogs exhibit similar, if not exactly the same behavior when they are playing with other dogs.

It is also reminiscent of the way wolves do it with other pack members, just a form of entertainment for them and for Akela, Andrey is part of his pack.

He also knows Andrey can handle it, given the ease with which he handles his advances with one hand.

A well-groomed wolf

His positive and playful behavior says a lot about the way Andrey lovingly cares for him.

He even gave him a huge cage so he has enough room to move around without getting too stuffy.

Moreover, we can see how well maintained his coat is, so he is clearly living in luxury and has found his forever home.

How this relationship will continue we don't know, but we are certainly eager to hear further updates.
