Pitbull Is Devastated After Being Returned To The Shelter Again 1a

It's hard when you think things are getting better, but then they get worse again.

That's how March felt.

He is a Pitbull mix who was thrilled to leave the ACCT Philly shelter for a new home.

But unfortunately, his adoption did not go through and he had to go back to the shelter in Philadelphia.

Breakdown

His adoption did not go through and March had to return to the shelter.

He felt sad and alone, sitting in his kennel and wondering what had gone wrong.

But March's luck was about to change. A kind journalist, Dawn Timmeney, saw him at the shelter.

She knew March was a special dog who deserved a loving home.

Dawn wrote about March on Facebook, telling everyone how wonderful he was.

She said, "I would be a great running buddy. Imagine all the compliments you get when people say, 'Where did you get that great-looking dog?'" Bring the family for a meet-and-greet and who knows. I'll run with you before March becomes April.

Viral story

Dawns message went viral and very quickly spread all over the Internet.

Soon came good news for March. ACCT Philly posted on their Facebook page that March had been saved!

They explained that he had not found a true forever home, but had been turned over to one of their rescue partners who wished to remain anonymous.

But they assured everyone that March is now with a very highly regarded local group that will put him up for adoption through their non-euthanasia shelter.

This was not only great news for March, but also for the shelter.

They now have an empty kennel that will serve as a temporary home for another animal in need.

A bright future ahead

March was overjoyed when he heard the news.

He knew he would soon have a family who loved him, hugged him and rubbed his belly.
