Rescued Chihuahua Gives Birth To 11 Puppies And Breaks World Record

Dogs never cease to amaze us, but this Chihuaha mother surpasses everything!

When they first met the dog named Laugh Out Loud, LOL for short, her rescuers expected her to give birth to a litter of puppies.

Her caregivers expected her to give birth to no more than four to five puppies because Chihuahuas do not normally have large litters.

After she gave birth to her last puppy, everyone was in shock and they realized that this could be a new record!

A special day

One day LOL went into labor in her foster home in Olathe, Kansas. The delivery lasted 12 hours. What surprised everyone was that she didn't have a small litter. She gave birth to a whopping 11 small, healthy puppies!

To make it even sweeter, LOL gave birth to her puppies on National Puppy Day. It was a special day for this Chihuahua mom.

At first, her foster mom Josie thought it was 10 puppies. But when she counted again, she realized LOL had given birth to 8 boys and 3 girls, making 11 puppies in total!

All the puppies were born healthy and LOL, their mother, was doing well despite the prolonged labor.

Best of all, they all found a golden basket!

After the puppies were 10 weeks old, they were safely transferred to their new families.

LOL, the chihuahua mom, also found a loving home where she could be happy.

She had been very protective and caring of her pups, so she also deserved a loving home.

Now she is enjoying her daily adventures with her new family.

A new record

LOL's story is special because her litter of 11 puppies breaks a record among Chihuahuas.

It may not be the largest dog litter but it is the largest litter among Chihuahuas. It is a huge accomplishment for this small breed.
