Rescuers Find Sweet Dog Tied Up Next To Cemetery And Are Deeply Saddened
Dogs deserve to be pampered with endless love and care.
Making them happy and seeing them flourish every day is one of our greatest joys in life.
It breaks my heart every time I am reminded that there are ruthless people capable of mistreating innocent and defenseless animals.
This story is about Magnolia, a beautiful dog who unfortunately was also mistreated and abused.
After being tied up near a cemetery in Texas, she began barking and calling for help.
Frightened and helpless, she hoped someone would hear her barking and come to her rescue.
Magnolia's call for help
Magnolia was tied to a tree, scared and alone.
She barked and cried, hoping someone would hear her and come to her rescue.
Fortunately, the kind people at Beaumont Animal Care heard her desperate cries.
Rachel Bush, a veterinary assistant and kennel supervisor, said:
"The staff here at the shelter was so devastated that they found her tied to a tree with no shelter or water. Magnolia's barking had become hoarse from crying all night for help."
The rescue
The shelter staff rushed to Magnolia's aid and followed the sound of her barking into the deep woods.
There they found a frightened dog tied to a tree.
Turning her loose proved to be quite a challenge, as Magnolia was very scared and distrusted people.
With soft voices and much patience, the rescuers convinced Magnolia that they were there to help.
They untied her and took her to the shelter.
Love and care
At the shelter in Beaumont, Magnolia was showered with love and care.
The staff worked gently and patiently with her.
Gradually Magnolia's true personality emerged - she was friendly and affectionate.
She made friends with both people and other dogs at the shelter.
"She felt relaxed and safe and her true personality emerged. She became friendly to everyone and made many friends at the shelter in Beaumont" Rachel Bush told us.
Waiting for a new home
Now Magnolia is still at the shelter, waiting for her new home.
Despite her past, she has become a sociable and friendly pup who enjoys her time with both people and dogs.
We are sure that sweet Magnolia will soon steal the hearts of her new owners who will love and shower her with affection.
This beautiful dog deserves all the happiness in the world.
