Rescuers Find Two Starving Puppies Next To Garbage
It is very heartbreaking for any animal rescuer when they try to save a dog but find out it was too late.
They had wanted to get there earlier, hoping it might have made a difference.
But really, these tragic events should not even take place. More must be done to prevent them.
In this story, we are going to talk about two puppies who were abandoned on a mountain in the middle of nowhere near a pile of garbage.
The rescue mission
As soon as rescuers received a call about two abandoned puppies in the mountains, they rushed to help.
Rescuers rushed to the mountainside to rescue the puppies.
When they arrived, they found the little ones next to the garbage. It was a heartbreaking sight - two little souls abandoned to their fate.
A difficult start
The pups barely responded and did not even show any sign of relief that help had come.
With concern in their hearts, the rescuers scooped them up and hurried back to the car.
The freezing temperatures required turning on the car heater to warm their cold bodies.
A difficult decision
After visiting the veterinarian, rescuers were faced with a difficult decision. One of the puppies unfortunately could not be saved.
"Her lungs were full of blood, probably from being hit by someone," the veterinarian explained.
The difficult decision was made to end her suffering.
Lily's struggle and recovery
The other puppy, now named Lily, had another battle ahead of her.
The vet discovered that she had parvovirus, a disease that needed careful treatment. Lily, however, showed she was strong.
They kept her on an IV throughout the recovery process to make sure she was getting all the nutrients she needed.
After about 7 days of treatment, she gained appetite. Lily ate quite a lot and her digestion was also no longer a problem.
As time passed, Lily changed.
"Her tail started wagging constantly, she loves to play more and more and she eats like a big dog," rescuers shared happily.
Lily's recovery was nothing short of a miracle.
Hope for the future
Now virtually a totally different dog, Lily awaits her vaccinations.
The hope is that she will find a home full of love and care, just like the devotion of her rescuers.
I really hope Lily finds someone who will give her the same love and care as her rescuers. She deserves that.
