Rottweiler werpt één van de grootste nesten ooit 1

When two-year-old Rottweiler Jessie became pregnant, her owners expected her to have five or six puppies at most, but she ended up giving birth to one of the largest litters they had ever seen.

The nest was three times larger than they had expected.

In the middle of the night, the babies kept coming and they couldn't believe their eyes. Still, it wasn't a dream.

Fortunately, Jessie delivered all the puppies healthily and happily.

A proud Rottweiler mom surprised with a large litter

On Oct. 15, 2017, Jessie, a two-year-old Rottweiler gave birth to 15 healthy puppies.

Yes, fifteen beautiful Rottweiler puppies!

This is the first time Eleanor Usher and her husband Ian have bred puppies and they were completely surprised by the result because they did not expect so many puppies.

Eleanor told SWNS, "We had been given a date of Oct. 17, but on Oct. 15 around 1:50 a.m. I heard a creaking noise at the bottom of the stairs."

It turned out that Jessie was in labor. She had already given birth to two puppies and the others came shortly after.

As soon as they realized what was going on, Eleanor and Ian stormed down the stairs to be with their girl Jessie.

"We hadn't had an ultrasound done because it was so expensive and I had been told to expect between three and five," Eleanor said. "After the sixth puppy I said, 'Good girl, you can stop now, you're done.'"

Jessie, however, was not even halfway through....

The puppies kept coming and coming

They were sure she would be ready soon, but the puppies kept coming.

"We were just thinking, 'My God, when will she stop,'" Eleanor said.

After the 11th puppy, they went so far as to consult the record figures. At that time, the record for the largest litter in the United Kingdom of a Rottweiler stood at 18 puppies, dating back to 2009.

With the speed at which the puppies were born, they even feared she would have nearly 20 puppies.

But at 8: 00 a.m. Jessie was all set. In the end, there were 15 beautiful puppies to be proud of.

She had done it all by herself. They didn't even have to help her Such a strong mama.

"Ian and I have set up a schedule to feed the puppies day and night. It's exhausting, but it's worth it to see them," Eleanor said.

The largest litter of puppies is surprisingly 24

If you think 15 puppies is a lot, this will surprise you even more.

According to the Guinness World Record, the largest litter of puppies is a whopping 24. All the puppies were brought into the world by Tia, the Neapolitan Mastiff, on Nov. 29, 2004.

They were 9 females and 15 males.
