It is really sad when mean people take away a dog's dream of having a loving family.

Many dogs feel unhappy when they have no one to take care of them. Sandy was one of those dogs.

The discovery

One day a man named David was driving along the road when he discovered Sandy.

After several tests, Sandy was diagnosed with Leishmaniasis - a disease that affects the skin, weight and organs.

The vet advised them to put her down because the treatment was expensive and there was no guarantee it would help her.

The family immediately refused to put Sandy to sleep, saying it was not an option.

They put all their efforts into her health, hoping she would make a full recovery.

Valentina was convinced that Sandy had never received love before.

Valentina and David hugged her and showered her with love.

Two months after they rescued Sandy, the couple rescued another sweet puppy and brought him home.
