Comfort, a tiny puppy, was abandoned when she was only three months old.

Her heartless family dumped her from the only home she has ever known.

Someone who witnessed the sad scene took the adorable puppy to a shelter in Los Angeles, Calif.

She felt betrayed by the people she trusted most and sat in the corner of the doghouse shaking with fear.

Fortunately, Comfort was taken by a good person to a shelter in Los Angeles, California.

When Comfort arrived, she was malnourished, dehydrated and covered in fleas.

She refused to eat and trembled in fear in the corner of her kennel, feeling betrayed by the people she trusted most.

A request for help on social media

Ashley Pittman, a kind volunteer at the shelter A Purposeful Rescue, wanted to help Comfort find a foster home.

She posted a video of the scared puppy on her Instagram and soon the video also went viral on TikTok.

A sweet gesture from the foster mother

Someone who saw the video on TikTok got in touch.

A foster parent contacted Ashley Pittman and offered to care for the frightened pup.

The woman said she was on her way to pick up Comfort from the shelter.

From the shelter to a loving home

Comfort was taken into the foster home and her foster mother was determined to help her overcome her fears.

Being at the shelter had made Comfort anxious, but her foster mother knew she just needed time to relax.

For the first few days in her foster home, Comfort kept wailing and hiding under a bed.

Her foster mother showered her with love, however, and slowly Comfort began to relax.

Her once frightened eyes began to fill with hope.

Once Comfort has calmed down completely and feels at home in her foster home, she starts looking for her new family.
