Starving puppy who had days to live turns into super sweet dog 1

Rescuing a dog is a wonderful thing and especially when it involves a dog in need.

The satisfaction of giving them a roof over their heads is a feeling that only true dog lovers know.

Yet not all puppies are lucky enough to be found and rescued.

This story is about Pumpkin, a little cutie who, against all odds, managed to find a loving family.

But this little girl did not know a happy beginning right away.

In her early days, she walked into a stranger's backyard looking for help. But little did she know that more than help awaited her.

A special encounter

Tre and Alicia, a friendly couple from a cozy neighborhood, had always loved dogs.

One day their friends shared the news about a little pit bull puppy who had found her way into their yard.

It was love at first sight for Tre and Alicia and they decided to adopt her.

The puppy, named Pumpkin because of her peculiar pumpkin-like appearance, had a difficult start in life.

She was skinny, malnourished and weak when Tre and Alicia brought her home.

According to the vet, Pumpkin would not have survived if she had been alone for a few more days.

But Pumpkin was lucky - she found the caring family she needed. Tre and Alicia were determined to restore her to health.

Despite her difficult start, Pumpkin blossomed into a feisty and goofy dog full of character.

Alicia explained, "She is like a big dog in a small dog body. She's always sitting on my lap or right next to me."

Friendship with Laila

Tre and Alicia already had a larger dog, Laila, who was a bit picky about her doggie buddies. Surprisingly, Pumpkin quickly won Laila's heart.

"Laila is picky when it comes to which dog she likes. But within a few hours they were sleeping on the same couch," Alicia said.

Pumpkin and Laila became the best of friends and showed that love knows no bounds.

Joy and sadness

Sadly, Laila crossed the rainbow bridge in 2019.

Tre, Alicia and Pumpkin were devastated. However, a new chapter unfolded with the arrival of their infant daughter.

Despite the changes, Pumpkin's incredible character remained a constant source of joy for her family.

Pumpkin and the baby

Tre and Alicia knew right away that their doggie was very good with people, but with the birth of their daughter, Pumpkin surprised them again.

The baby became Pumpkin's best buddy and the two were inseparable.

Every day became an exciting adventure for the family, with Pumpkin bringing joy to every moment.

Once a weak puppy with only a few days to live, Pumpkin is now happy - and all thanks to her wonderful parents!
