Stray Dog Finds New Home After Being Found In Front Of Family's House
Many stray dogs struggle to find even the most necessary things to survive, such as food and water.
In their desperation, some of them wander the streets where people live in the hope that someone would help them.
This story is about a dog who stumbled through the streets of California and found his new home by chance.
A lonely life
Sunny was a very frightened and lonely dog. He spent most of his days wandering the streets of Los Angeles.
He hoped to find that one special person who would make his life better. But finding food and water was a difficult task for him.
While he was out walking one day, something extraordinary happened. Sunny came across a house that seemed extra welcoming.
Friendly people lived there and he could feel their warm hearts.
An unexpected encounter
Sunny did not know whose house it was, but he decided to stay in front of the door.
A girl named Jaylene Guevara received a message from her parents who had found a lost dog at their front door. She knew she had to do something to help Sunny.
Jaylene Guevara wrote in a TikTok video: I told them to do everything they could to keep him there so I could come and help.
Jaylene rushed to her parents' house to rescue Sunny. While she was on her way, her father and mother tried to make Sunny feel safe. They gave him food and blankets to make him comfortable.
Building trust
The plan worked. Sunny began to trust them. By the time Guevara got home, Sunny had gotten to know the friendly couple quite well.
Jaylene and Sunny also became friends. It took a while, but Sunny realized Jaylene was there to help him. They decided to go to the vet to make sure Sunny was healthy.
A visit to the veterinarian
At the vet, they discovered Sunny did not have a microchip. This little device helps people find lost pets, but Sunny didn't have one.
The vet also said Sunny needed a good trim. His coat was all tangled and messy, causing him many problems.
As a new dog
After his trim, Sunny looked like a new dog. He was so happy and full of life. Jaylene couldn't believe how different he looked.
She said, He was so happy after his trim. He rolled around on the grass.
Jaylene was determined to help Sunny. She knew he still had a long way to go, but she promised to support him every step of the way.
"The poor guy is so skinny, but he's in good hands with us. We're going to make sure he looks and feels his best again."
A bright future
A few days passed and Jaylene shared an update. Sunny was getting better and stronger. He still had to get used to his new home and family, but he loved his new life.
Sunny had finally found his golden basket after wandering the streets for so long. He could not thank Jaylene with words, but his actions and joy showed how grateful he was.
@jylngvr Meet SUNNY ☀️💘 Rescued this baby boy the night of 3/20/2023. I scheduled a vet appointment for him for Friday morning. I’ve posted several lost dog reports on PawBoost, lost and found FB groups in the Chino, CA and San Bernardino County area, my mom has posted him on NextDoor, and I reported him to the Inland Valley Humane Society but so far we have not found his owner. I am fine with fostering him for however long I need to and willing to adopt him if need be. He is in good hands with us ❤️ #dogrescue #rescuedog #rescuedogsoftiktok ♬ Get You The Moon - Kina
