Griffin was no ordinary pup; he was a stray dog with big dreams.

This 6-month-old puppy, born and raised on the streets, knew that street life was not for him.

Even though life on the streets was tough, Griffin had a plan in his heart.

He knew he deserved a master and he was determined to find one.

One day Griffin walked onto a naval base with courage in his eyes. He had a confidence that caught everyone's attention. His plan? To choose an owner himself.

A heartwarming adoption

When the commander saw Griffin walking toward him, he knew the pup was destined to wander around their base.

It's not every day you see a dog just walk into a military facility.

The commander, touched by the little pup's courage, took him in his arms.

He knew Griffin would not survive alone in such a dangerous place.

According to Paws Of War, a nonprofit organization, the commander was reminded of his unit's motto: "Whoever arrives alive, leaves alive."

This motto became Griffin's ticket to a new life.

Despite the military environment, the little puppy won the hearts of everyone.

The army suits and big guns did not scare him; instead, he became a little hero.

The anonymous commander, with a family in Maryland, couldn't bring himself to leave Griffin behind.

"Little Griffin became family," the commander said.

A new chapter

Thanks to the support and donations of Paws of War, Griffin's story took a nice turn.

He moved from the naval base to Maryland, where he was reunited with his commander, the first person he encountered.

"Today, Griffin serves and protects his family, just as his daddy does," Paws of War said.

Little Griffin, once a stray dog with a dream, now lives a happy life and shows us all what courage, love and a little happiness can mean.
