Her Best Buddy Gets Adopted And She Is Devastated
When Bonnie, a sweet shelter dog, saw her best friend Clyde leave with a new family, her world was turned upside down.
The Stillwater Animal Welfare had become their temporary shelter, and the two dogs, roaming the streets of Oklahoma together, had formed an inseparable bond.
Best buddies
The way street dogs take care of each other is really wonderful.
When Bonnie and Clyde were rescued by the kind people at Stillwater Animal Welfare, of Oklahoma, they refused to part.
According to the team, rescued dogs usually separate in the shelter as they become more independent and comfortable in new circumstances, but that was not the case with these two.
They amazed everyone with their loyalty and love for each other, and the team was so happy that they were a couple.
Bonnie and Clyde's past is not clear.
The dogs were picked off the streets, where they were found in poor condition.
Both dogs suffered from heartworms and required intensive medical care.
Miraculously, they responded well to the treatments and became known as the darlings of the shelter, showered everyone with kisses.
Separation
However, happiness took a turn when Clyde was adopted, leaving Bonnie sad.
She shut herself off emotionally and stayed in her kennel without taking any interest in anything, hoping her brother would come back.
"Bonnie has been all alone since her brother was adopted , she really misses a brother to cuddle with," SAW wrote on Facebook.
A cozy home
But in December, a sweet woman named Brayden Routh appeared .
She wanted to offer Bonnie a loving home.
It was as if she had been waiting all along for Brayden to take her home.
Bonnie's life changed in just a few days.
She got a great family, a cozy home and even a big sister, Tally, a Blue Heeler.
The arrival of Brayden Routh allowed Bonnie to return from heartbreak to happiness.
New beginning
In her new home, Bonnie's personality emerged.
She met new friends and became the darling of the family.
Brayden Routh happily shared, "She's in great hands! Exhausted from a big day making new friends".
