Woman gives black pit bull no one wanted a new home 1

Many people think pit bulls are not a suitable breed to adopt.

This has resulted in many people not even wanting to consider the option of adopting a pit bull, often leaving these poor dogs to their fate.

Fortunately, not everyone thinks this way, and woman Caitlyn proves it.

She decided without much thought to give a pit bull a home.

She changed her life forever.

A sad beginning

One day, Caitlyn met a dog named Liv.

Liv was found as a stray dog and was underweight, had a sagging belly due to excessive breeding and her ears were bent back wards due to a failed cropping.

Caitlyn, however, saw something special in Liv's sad eyes.

"This sweet little girl still needs some time to adjust. She is very skittish and nervous, but loves to sit on my lap and literally hold my hand all day!" - said Caitlyn.

Liv's transformation

Caitlyn already had a pit bull named Tater Tot. Still, she couldn't resist Liv's charm and decided to adopt her.

"Baby Liv may be small, but she has a HUGE heart." - Caitlyn said.

Adjusting was not easy for Liv, but Tater Tot played a crucial role.

Liv went hiking only when Tater Tot went with her.

The two pit bulls, both rescued, formed a unique and unbreakable bond.

It was love at first sight and soon Liv and Tot could not be separated.

Despite the fact that Liv actually stayed in foster care, she was an essential part of the family.

Caitlyn decided to adopt her and gave her a new name: Sweet Pea.

Sweet Pea's recovery and flowering

Sweet Pea underwent several surgeries, including healing a highly visible wound on her face.

Despite her difficult past, Sweet Pea turned into a loving and affectionate dog.

"To this day, she won't go hiking unless there are three of us." - Caitlyn said.

Family ties and routine

The trio, Caitlyn, Tater Tot and Sweet Pea, were inseparable.

They visited Caitlyn's mother at work, where Sweet Pea played with Tater Tot and stood protectively beside her family.

This loving trio often went to visit Caitlyn's mother at her work, where there was a large field where the dogs could play.

Sweet Pea then played with her brother for a while before standing protectively next to her mother or grandmother.

Even off the leash, she would never stray far from her family.

This black pit bull showed the whole world that love is stronger than any prejudice or stereotype and that it always wins in the end.

You just have to find the right people.
