Woman Rushes To Shelter To Save Dog From Being Euthanized
The one thing stray pups want most as they roam the lonely streets is to be noticed by people and to be housed somewhere safe.
They long to feel loved as they deserve.
After being rescued and taken to a shelter, all the dogs hope they can find a forever home, cuddle with their humans and finally find their happiness.
It makes me very sad to hear that in many shelters older dogs and dogs in poorer health end up on the euthanasia list.
Noodle was one such shelter dog who had to be put to sleep because of his health condition and the fact that no one wanted to give him a home.
As he lay alone in his kennel the night before his planned euthanasia, little did he know that a woman with a huge heart would come to his rescue.
The rescue
Noodle was one of those dogs who met a sad fate.
He had a brain disorder that caused him to stagger and lose consciousness.
Because of his condition , no one wanted to adopt him and the shelter considered putting him down.
But then a beautiful thing happened.
Tiffany Perkins, a kind-hearted woman, heard of Noodle's plight.
The night she heard about Noodle, she couldn't sleep.
She thought only of him, and in the morning she rushed to rescue him.
A new beginning
At Perkins, Noodle found a home full of love and care.
When she took Noodle to her home in Detroit, she immediately fell in love with him.
He was very sweet and affectionate and they bonded immediately.
Perkins didn't know if Noodle would be a hospice case, but she showered him with love, hoping to give him the best life possible.
Dear buddies
Noodle was not alone in his new home.
He soon befriended Perkins' other dog, Luke.
Together they hugged and comforted each other and brought joy to the Perkins home.
He got along well with her other dog, Luke, and they became best friends.
Recovery and joy
Under Perkins' care, Noodle began to gain weight and regain strength.
Perkins made Noodle feel safe and relaxed and even adapted her home to accommodate him.
The adorable dog took every opportunity to cover his mother's face with kisses.
Perkins learned a lot about Noodle's disease.
His fainting spells were caused by excitement, and she tried to make his life predictable.
She made sure her pup had a quiet environment.
Perkins lowered her bed so her dog could get in and out by herself.
To keep him calm, she bought a lower couch and put it toward the window so Noodle and his brother could look out the window.
"Seeing him happy and how he looks at the world out his window is one of the greatest joys I've ever had in my life."
Noodle loved watching the rain with his mother and little brother. He felt safe and loved while his mother cuddled him.
A happy ending
Noodle's life was now filled with walks, trips to the beach and endless love from Perkins.
Noodle is such a comfort to me personally, she said, grateful for his presence during a difficult time in her life.
We are very happy that Noodle has found a loving home.
