It is heartbreaking to see stray dogs without homes and without food.

They hide in sheds, under cars, or wherever they can find shade. We all know they need people's help.

One of these dogs is little Nyusha.

She had no home and she spent her days looking for shelter under cars and sheds.

Sweet woman Olena Pyanov discovered Nyusha at a gas station, and she and her team decided to help her.

Nyusha was found

Nyusha was scared and didn't trust people.

She took refuge under parked cars when someone tried to approach her.

Love Furry Friends is an animal rescue organization that has already rescued many strays and found new homes for them.

Usually the process is not easy and can take a lot of time and money, as in this case with the dog Nyusha, who had been living at the gas station for years.

"It's heartbreaking to see them without a home and without food," Olena said.

Olena and her team tried to take her home, but she was always afraid.

Nyusha ran under a parked car as they tried to grab her.

For six months, Olena tried to gain Nyusha's trust.

She offered her food and tried to be sweet and gentle, but Nyusha remained reserved.

The gas station was near a busy road, which made rescue efforts more difficult, but Olena did not give up.

A special bond

One day a man Nyusha was clearly fond of came along.

He was in charge of cutting the grass and Nyusha was attracted to him.

Thanks to this man, Nyusha finally came out of hiding.

Olena saw this as the best chance to finally catch Nyusha - and she did!

A new beginning

Olena successfully brought Nyusha home. She saw that Nyusha was still hiding under her bed.

But when it was dinner time, the little dog came right out.

She had an appetite and Olena was glad to see it.

Olena made sure Nyusha received proper care and took her to the vet for checkups, vaccinations and parasite treatments.

Learning to socialize

They also noticed how shy and withdrawn the puppy was.

So Olena and Love Furry Friends took her to different activities where Nyusha could get used to regular interaction.

They took her to the café and taught her how to behave, especially when she ate outside.

They also let her out in the park, something she had to get used to for days.

Eventually, Nysuha seemed to get used to all the changes and enjoyed every moment.

She became friends with Mimi, Olena's dog.

It turned out that this scared dog at the gas station was actually a very sweet, affectionate dog!

She was ready to be adopted.
